This was the only song on the "first" album which was written by me alone. After much help from Fred, we built the song up into this.

    Interestingly, the distorted-synth-guitar sounds of What's On Your Mind originated in this song. There was a point in Over The Sea at which I felt it sounded too happy and silly. I said to Fred "Let's try running the synth strings through the distortion box..." Wow. A new style was born.
